Tips on being a waitress?
I just started working at a restaurant, any tips for a server?
Best things to say to customers and all that?
And what stores can I find an apron at? A half one just to go around my waist.
Make your own apron out of a sheet that costs $4. No one will pay any attention. Don't use it for "pockets". If you need a pocket , use a fanny pack because they are safer.
Write everything down when taking orders. even small things. It will make your life much easier. Take the menu home and memorize it. Talk to the chef and find one tiny bit of info about the ingredients that go into each dish you serve. Diners love to know about spices and ingredients.
Come in on your day off and stay behind the bar so you can learn how to bartend..
