HP Dat drive problem?
Ok so i have an internal HP SCSI DAT72 drive in one of my servers, i t shows up as a cd-rom under device manager and when i try to select the official HP drivers for install it does not work and says the file does not contain any information about the selected device. Also tried installing the drivers veritas provide but these will not install either, i have scoured the web and looked at all solutions on the Veritas and HP sites but no luck so i'm putting it out for the brains on here!

hi...you say it shows up as a cd-rom...it should also show up in device manager under 'disk drives'...so try loading your drivers in that section (that is if it shows there).
it should or could possibly show that scsi drive in the section...ide ata/atapi controllers...so maybe something in there will need updating as well.
and finally...it may well show up in the section...storage volumes...so again something in there may need updating as well.
all possibilities of course to your current problem.
