i have just ordered a hp mediasmart home server. i have a xbox 360 and a laptop and need to connect, help!?

i have a xbox 360 and a wireless adaptor, a laptop with wireless (b/g) and a bt home hub, just got a mediasmart server and want to connect everything together. problem is i have the 360 on wired with the adaptop ready to set up, the computer on wireless and the documentation with the server says it has to be connected to the internet by wired only, thats not too much of a concern but im worried that ill get too much slowdown playing xbox live through wireless and have it connected to the server by the same connection, help please......

If you plan on streaming any media content from the server or laptop to the xbox I would recommend using a wired connection. There is insufficient bandwidth through the xbox wireless controller to stream stuff from the server. I've tried it myself and switched back to the wired connection.

What I have done is connected the xbox directly into my internet router, my PC connected directly into the router, and my laptop on wireless into the router.

Just pick which device you use as your wireless access point and go from there. I would recommend that the bt home hub is your wireless access point instead of your server, after all, that's what it has been designed to do.
