Hp Server Ex495

Computer Back-Up to Server is slow?
I have an EX495 HP server with Intel Dual Core 2.5Ghz and 2gigs of Ram, my PC is a Compaq Presario P4 Dual Core 3.0Ghz and 2 gigs of ram. Connecting those two is a Linksys Router WRT54G with the latest firmware, they are in the same room only two feet apart from each other. This is my first back up, only got this server yesterday and I started my back up around 8pm and it is almost done today, its at 70%(so far its backed up 200gigs) and its 12pm today. Is it supposed to take this long? I will be working with a lot of video that will take up most of the space I have (have 3Tb so far on the server but will max it out to 6Tb+). Is it that the server is this slow or maybe my PC is not fast enough or that there needs to be some kind of configuration done to the router that I'm not aware of, I let the software configure it with the default setup so it was automatic.
Thanks in advance
The server, PC and Router are connected via Ethernet cable(CAT5e)
If you've backed-up 200GB in that amount of time over wireless, then you're doing really well.
Unfortunately, the first time that you back up will be horribly long in duration. After the first backup, they are just incrementals, so they'll take much less time.
If you want to speed up the back-up, you should connect the computer to the router with a network cable in order to run at 100mbps instead of the wifi speeds.
